Salomé

I made this piece while rehearing to play the role of Salomé in an adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s play by the same name. It represents the essence of the journey towards that play, which came to me in one of the most powerful dream experiences I’ve ever had: a dream while travelling in Romania that connected me with an old gypsy figure. My journey and reflections on this dream over time led me eventually to play Salomé. The sigils in this piece hold the intention of moving deeper into the mysteries of the sacred feminine, the body, and sexuality.
